7th Stamford National Inter University Debate Championship 2014

Debate contest at Stamford University

The Stamford Debate forum (SDF) has organized the "7th Stamford National Inter University Debate Championship 2014".

Dhaka University (DU) was the winner of the contest and runner up is Jahangirnagar University (JU).

The event was began from November 07 and will continue till November 15, 2014. The debate contest is divided into two championships, university debate championship in English and university debate championship in Bangla.

The English debate championship took place on 7 and 8 November 2014 at Stamford School and Stamford College. Sixteen university teams participated in this part of the tournament.

Account BenefitThe English debate championship was held in the British Parliamentary format. On 7 November three rounds of the English debate championship took place and on 8 November the semifinal and final rounds were held.

The Bangla debate championship was held on 14 and 15 November 2014. It was took place in Stamford University Bangladesh (Shiddeshwari Campus). The semifinal and final rounds was held at Liberation War Museum on 15 November 2014.

Twenty-four university teams participated in this event. The Bangla Debate held in the Parliamentary format.
