MBBS/BDS admission test results of country's Medical and Dental colleges were published on October 26, 2014 with a pass rate of 34 percent.

22,759 candidates out of 66,987 were passed the written tests held for a total of 10,299 seats available in 29 government and 56 private medical colleges, and nine government and 23 private dental institutions, said Zahid Maleque, state minister for health and family welfare ministry, at a press briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The results will be available on DGHS's website. The successful candidates will also be notified via SMS at their contact numbers. Admission procedures will take place between October 30 and November 15, 2014. Classes for the 2014-15 academic session of MBBS and BDS courses will begin on January 10, 2014, he added.

Candidates who want to recheck their results have to apply through Teletalk mobile phone SMS by depositing Tk. 1,000/- (non refundable) between October 15 and November 25, 2014. The rescrutiny results will be notified at the right time.

The results and admission related information will be available at the concerned Medical colleges and the website of DGHS: (www.dghs.gov.bd) and the results will also be known at the Teletalk website: (http://dghs.teletalk.com.bd).

Public and private medical and dental colleges have total 9,623 seats, with 3,708 at 28 public medical colleges and nine dental colleges. The exam was held at 35 centers of 22 public medical colleges and one dental college.
