UGC Withdraw the Name of Shanto-Mariam University

University Grants Commission (UGC) has withdrawn the name of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) from the list of few problematic Private Universities.

Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) on September 11, 2014 claimed in a press release that, "A news has been published recently in several new dailies quoting the University Grants Commission (UGC). The news mentioned that the UGC is warned about to be admitted in 48 campuses of 12 private universities".

Note that, "We have no branch campus in the address of Kallyanpur, Dhaka. The UGC has withdraw the name of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) from the published list after we have informed the UGC in this regard.

Note particularly that, all the educational activities of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) is operated in the three approved campus at Uttara, Lalmatia and Kalma (Own campus at Savar). These three campuses are properly approved by the government and University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC).

The authority of SMUCT have requested to not be confused about this matter and contact the Private University Branch of UGC and SMUCT Authority for detailed information.
