Iblish Chattar - the ground is become noisy at the afternoon. Young people are coming with colorful dresses. Location of this place is in the Green City, Rajshahi. One of the most popular chattering places of Rajshahi University (RU).

Iblish Chattar of Rajshahi University is like the Hyde Park in London. Iblish Chattar has the freedom of speech like Hyde Park has. Everyone can sit here any time to discuss any kind of topics. University students as well as many groups of young people from outside come regularly.

Iblish Chattar, which was named old Folklore Chattar in the papers. But, this is recognized as Iblish Chattar in the world of love. Couples are spending their time by sitting here from the morning to 8-9 pm at night. Not only the lovers, chattering continued here with friends and classmates. But the number is fewer than lovers. The presence of lovers in this ground is mostly seen in the afternoon.

Once upon a time it was a major crime to entering or seeing the activities in the area without a pair of lovers. For this reason, leaders and activists of the Islami Chhatra Shibir named this premises as the Iblish Chattar. There have been exceptions in naming the premises. The 'Onushilon Drama Group' was performed a drama named 'Iblish' before the liberation war. And the ground could also be named as Iblish Chattar from there.

Account BenefitThe committee named 'Folklore Adda' was formed in 1998. The next year, the ground formally named as 'Folklore Chattar' on the initiative of the founding president of the 11-member committee, Jamiul Ahsan Shipon and Secretary General Ruhul Amin. Folklore Adda Committee was doing this to abolish the name of Iblish. After that in 2003 the third year students of Folklore Department hanged a signboard with the name of 'Folklore Chattar'. But everyone has known this ground as 'Iblish Chattar'.

Second-year students of Folklore Department Shima Rani, Sabiha, Halim, Siraj, Munira, Nahid and Mukta said the most suitable place to chat with friends is the Iblish Chattar.

The second-year student of Bangla Department Tarikul Muhaimin said Iblish Chattar is the most popular place among all other places for entertainment. The ground is the suitable environment to sit here and chat with friends in leisure time.
