There is no specific policy about the medical admission fees for admission in MBBS, BDS courses at Private Medical Colleges of Bangladesh.

For that reason, private medical colleges are taking admission fees of MBBS, BDS in their own way. However, every private medical colleges demand excessive amount of money from the admission seekers which is going to be increased more this year.

Sources informed that, for studying in Ibn Sina Medical College the cost is Tk. 9,02,105 whether in Dhaka National Medical College the cost is Tk. 10,80,000; in Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College the cost is Tk. 5,10,000; in Uttara Modern Medical College the cost is Tk. 12,52,960; in Ibrahim Medical College the cost is Tk. 11,53,000 and in Moulana Bhasani Medical College the cost is Tk. 9,10,000.

Account BenefitHealth ministry sources informed to a news media that, policy for private medical colleges was made in 2011. But it was not initiated previous years and will not be initiated this year also. The policy said, private medical colleges can take maximum Tk. 8,00,000 for 5 years course and monthly fee cannot exceed Tk. 4,000.

However, Professor Dr. Khondokar Md. Sifayet Ullah, director general of Health Services said, they are monitoring private medical colleges and agreed that, most of the private medical colleges aren't maintaining rules properly. Necessary actions will be taken against them.
