Entrance Test for Medical Colleges

The main dream of a Science student is to be admitted in Medical Colleges and to become a Doctor. 38 government medical and dental colleges is the top of their choices.

The entrance test of Government Medical College is expected to hard this year. Thousands of talented students will compete for only 3 thousand and 694 seats.

A total of 3 thousand and 162 seats are available in the 29 government medical colleges with 6 new and 532 seats are available at 9 dental colleges. A total of 5 thousand and 900 seats are available at the 55 private medical and 18 dental colleges. The precise date of the admission test for medical colleges is not set yet.

Eligibility to participate in Medical entrance test: Some conditions have been imposed for the Medical applicants this year. Candidates must be obtained minimum 40 numbers in the entrance test. Candidates who got below 40 numbers in entrance test are not eligible to be admitted in Medical in any condition. In the previous year, if a candidate obtained 20 out of 100 are getting the chance to be admitted. But the pass mark is 120 out of 200 marks while 100 numbers based on GPA and 100 numbers based on entrance test as same as the previous rules.

Account BenefitCandidates who got total 8.00 in SSC+HSC from Science group, they will be able to take part in the entrance exam. The condition will be applicable for students who wanted to be admitted in the MBBS/BDS course in public and private medical and dental colleges in the academic session 2014-2015.

These decisions were taken in two separate meeting on July 01 and 17, 2014 at the Ministry of Health. Professor Dr. ABM Abdul Hannan said, the date of admission and the application collection and submission dates will be finalized on August 20, 2014.
