JU students banned for lifetime

Jahangirnagar University (JU) administration takes a decision to lifetime ban and cancels the studentship of three female students for physical and mental torture (ragging) to a junior female student.

The decision was taken at the Syndicate meeting held on July 23, 2014 night. Lifetime banned and studentship canceled students are Sami Rezwana, Sabrina Akter Nitu and Rafiya. All of them are the resident students of Sheikh Hasina Hall, 42nd Batch of Marketing Department.

A student of 43rd batch of newly builds Sheikh Hasina Hall tortured physically and mentally (ragged) by her same department students Rezwana, Sabrina and Rafiya of 42nd batch by calling her in their room.

Account BenefitThe disciplinary committee recommend to give the exemplary punishment of the accused at the meeting on July 22, 2014 after the student submits a written complain to the Vice-Chancellor.

The administration takes the decision following the recommendation of disciplinary committee to lifetime ban and cancels the studentship of Sami Rezwana, Sabrina Akter Nitu and Rafiya at the syndicate meeting on July 23, 2014 at night.

The provost of the Sheikh Hasina Hall Professor Farid Ahmed said, the action is taken against the accused according to the investigation.
