BU Career Fair'2014

Public Relation Department (PRD) of Bangladesh University (BU) has organized a day long 'Career Fair-2014' for the 1st time held on June 25, 2014 at BU campus.

Mr. Hasanul Haq Inu, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Information was present on the closing ceremony of the program. Engr. M. A. Ghulam Dastagir, secretary, Board of Trustees of BU delivered his welcomed speech. Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Ali Fakir, vice Chancellor in charge of BU, chaired the program. Mr. T. P Biswas, Chairman of Limo Group and Member of BoT, BU delivered their valuable speeches on the Career Fair.

The honorable minister delivered his enthusiastic speech on the Career Fair Program. First of all he expressed his gratitude to be invited as a chief guest and encouraged the students for their spontaneous presence at the fair. He advised the university students to respect their teachers who speaks, shows, explains and inspires. According to him teachers are the windows through which the students see their bright future. He also inspired the students by encouraging them to take the any opportunity they get at the beginning of their career life. The students are the future nation of our country, so they should know their history of liberation war and also learn to show their respect and tribute to their martyrs. They should not argue with their parents, dear ones, teacher and their Boss at their offices in future. They should be attentive in their family, institutional and professional learning.

Account BenefitThe honorable minister also gave very important and inspiring information that at her area he makes computer education mandatory and disburses fund to buy computers in primary and secondary school. At the end of his speech he promised to give a push for the young job seekers who will appeal him for any kind of job.

Among other, representatives from Airtel, Limo, Unique Group, Prothom-alojobs, Elite Group, Globe Soft Drinks, Hamid Group, PRAN, Organic Health Care Ltd. and D16 Pharma & Biotec Ltd. are expected to participate in the day long fair.

The organizers said that almost five thousand people from different parts of the country will visit the fair.

Previously in the morning Dr. Shagufta Mahmood, Member, BoT, BU officially inaugurated the fair today morning.
