Freshers' reception program held at BU

Freshers' reception program for the newly enrolled students of Spring Semester-2014 and the Best Teacher Award Ceremony was held at Bangladesh University (BU) on May 03, 2014.

Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Chairman and Managing Director of ATN Bangla and ATN News, attended the program as the chief guest while Engr MA Ghulam Dastagir, Secretary, BoT, BU and Quazi Mozaher Ali, Member, BoT, BU as the special guests.

Vice-Chancellor of BU Professor Dr. Md. Golam Ali Fakir presided over the function. Professor Mustafa Kamal Uddin, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Social Science and Law, delivered welcome speech.

Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman urged the students to be well educated to become worthy citizen of the country. He committed to extend his hands of cooperation for the improvement of the university. The Chairperson in his speech said the students should take the advantage of the unique learning opportunities of Bangladesh University.

Account BenefitOn the occasion, Md. Sadiq Iqbal, chairman of Department of CSE, awarded first ever Best Teacher Award and Tk. 1 lac as token of inspiration.

Dr. Md. Imamauddin, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, Md. Enayet Ullah Assistant Director, Students affairs and Assistant Proctor Sadat Hasan, also spoke on the occasion.
