Certificate Business of DIU

Parliamentary Standing Committee of education ministry has recommended to take necessary steps against Darul Ihsan University (DIU) authority for their illegal certificate business by taking money and urged to stop it.

The committee recommended this in the 34th meeting of the committee held at the national parliament building on May 26, 2013.

President of the committee Rashed Khan Menon presided over the meeting while Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Whip Mirza Azam, VCs of DU, SylAU, Director of BUET, Member of UGC were also present there.

Allegations have Darul Ihsan University that the private university has not maintained standard procedures in recruiting vice-chancellor, pro vice-chancellor, and treasurer while it has illegally built outer campuses across the country.

Darul Ihsan University started its operation in line with the Private University Act 1992 section 4 to establish own campus on five acres of land within five years of starting its operation, but could not fulfill the terms and conditions.

Moreover, the university trust split into pieces, established many outer campuses across the country and doing business in the name of education.
