Success of Bangladeshi Teams in Techfest-2015 at IIT Bombay

BUET, SUST and DUET team at Techfest-15

Eyes of the talents of France, South Africa, Egypt, India, Indonesia and other countries has already gone up to the forehead. They have forgotten to talk. How is that possible!

Three of the top four teams from Bangladesh! They knew about Bangladesh is the country of hunger, poverty and disasters. But today, they identified Bangladesh as the country of talents.

Three teams of Bangladesh gain success in the 'International Robotics Challenge' at 'Techfest-2015' competition in IIT, Mumbai. 'BUET eXponential' team achieved the second place in the final competition defeated by the Moratua University team from Sri Lanka for just four points.

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology team 'RoboSUST' ranked third and Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) team 'Timeout' ranked fourth among the other two teams of Bangladesh in the competition.

Abul-al-Arabi from 'BUET eXponential' team said, "We hoped that we could give the country something better as the three teams taking part from Bangladesh". Another member of this team is Khaled-bin-Moinuddin. Last year the team of Arabi and Khaled were champion 'Teckkriti-2014' competition at IIT Kanpur.

Both of them wished to bring recognition for their robots from global competitions by crossing the boundaries of Asia. Khaled said we saw the competitors from Sri Lanka and India using much improved robots, because their universities brought them high quality parts. It would be very better if our country arranged that.

Account BenefitRobotics team of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology 'RoboSUST' sweeps by taking part for the first time in an international competition. Members of this team are, Nawshad Shajib, Shakhawat Hossain, Nusrat Mobin Ara, Raghib Shahriar and Farhanul Islam.

The robotics team started their journey in 2013 in collaboration with the departmental teacher Md. Jafar Iqbal and other teachers. They were champion at IUT 'Esonance-2014' competition last year. Member of the group Nawshad Shajib said, "We are grateful to the department teachers for our success".

Another team from Bangladesh participated in 'Teckfest-2015' is 'Timeout' from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET). Members of that team- Rupayan Halder, Paritosh Kumar, Muslim Uddin, Palash Chandra Mandal and Uttam Kumar. Last year they were selected to take part in 'Teckkriti-2014' competition at IIT Kanpur and champion at IUT 'Mexilaration'.
