Eid Vacation for Campus Students: Some can't Go to the Village

Eid vacation begins in campuses

Most of people already have to go to the villages to avoid traffic and crowd on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Almost every university's residence halls are already being started to be empty. Almost every university's Eid holiday was declared. And the holiday announcement process is underway at some of universities which have not yet been declared. Various government organizations have already declared the holidays. The private universities are not far behind.

Eid holidays of Dhaka University have been announced from July 20 to August 04, 2014. Classes and examinations of the university will be closed this time. Classes and examinations of the university will be started from August 05, 2014. Eid holidays of Jagannath University have been started from July 20, 2014. All departments and administrative offices are remaining closed till July 31, 2014 on the occasion of Jumatul Bida, holy Shab-e-Qadr and Eid. The classes will be closed till August 07, 2014.

Eid-ul-Fitr holidays of Jahangirnagar University have been announced from July 15, 2014. That 24-day long vacation will be ended on August 07, 2014.

The Eid holiday of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology was started from July 19, 2014. And the vacation will be ended on August 08, 2014. All the academic and administrative activities will be started as usual from August 09, 2014. Eid-ul-Fitr holidays of Rajshahi University have been started from July 22, 2014. The vacation will be ended on August 05, 2014.

The Eid holiday of Daffodil International University will be started from July 26, 2014. And the vacation will be ended on July 31, 2014. Classes will be started from August 02, 2014.

Account BenefitHowever, the Chittagong University has ahead of all universities. The holiday has been declared for one and half of a month from June 24 to August 07, 2014 on the occasion of rainy season, Shab-e-Barat, Shab-e-Qadr, Jumatul Bida and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Many students are not able to celebrate this Eid with their families. Md. Imran Hossain, a student said, my village house is in Munsiganj. I worried a lot about to celebrate the Eid with family, because my semester final exam will be started after few days of the Eid. This is so painful to not able to stay with family in these special days. I wish to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha with my family.

Mohammad Akram Hossain, a student said, my village home is in Rajbari. I can't go to the home since the university admission test. Long days distance with family and neighbors. Every time the Eid was celebrated with family. I wish to celebrate the Eid with my family again. It cannot stay away from the family in these special days.

Chandni Khandakar, a student of Darunnessa Female College said, my village home is in Feni. Every time I celebrated the Eid with my family. Maybe this year I will not be able to go to the home. Examinations will be started after few days of the Eid. So I won't get the opportunity to celebrate the Eid with family. Still I will try to celebrate the Eid with my family.
